Look like a fun birthday party!! I love you Elf thing that you do for the kids for xmas. I might have to snag that idea up and do it once CJ gets a little bit older. You are a very talented woman!!
So you have to tell me? Did you see the truck party I threw for my son on my site, or do we just share a brain? I did the road tablecloth, too. I thought it was genius when I read about it, but had never seen anyone else do that before (the truck cake has been around the block for a while).
Anyhow, you did a great job pulling it all together. I love that you had the real construction "candles" leading to the party! What fun!
Thanks for the inspiration...I'm on the hunt for construction birthday party ideas for my son's upcoming 2- year old birthday party and found your blog in my search! Fun ideas!!
Hi! Your little guy is almost exactly my youngests age (Logan will be three in two weeks) and this year we are doing a construction theme party for him. We have obviously found tons of the same ideas, but WOW! Your party turned out GREAT! I love the dump truck invitation... amazingly creative, mama. I was thinking of making a Caution sign as Logan's, but now I am kinda rethinking it cuz yours is just so brilliant. Anyhow. Hope your little one has had a great year. I am off to see what you did this last birthday!
Hi! Looks like your little guy is exactly one year older than mine! I was wondering if you made the dirt cake in the dump truck or transferred it over. We are having a construction truck party, and this is one of the few cute cake ideas I can do (I don't trust myself to do any sort of cutting out and crazy frosting type cakes).
Cathy - You just bake the cake in whatever pan you have handy then crumble it into the back of the dump truck. Happy Birthday to your little one! My guy is now the big FOUR today
Me again...thanks for all the great ideas! I just hosted my little guy's second party and your post gave me so much inspiration (especially the cake, tablecloth, and road signs). Here's how it turned out: http://mudandsunshine.blogspot.com/2011/06/caution-fun-zone.html Thanks again for sharing!
Hey! You really went all out. My son's birthday is on 27 November 2011 and instead of taking a plastic dumptruck for the cake, I am baking him a real dumptruck that looks exactly like his favourite one!!!
I bought the car rug at Walmart a couple years ago (under $20). I've also seen good ones at Ikea (again, under $20) and ToysRUs. Tyler still uses his a lot - I'm sure you're little one would love it
It was fun reading your blog. I can't even imagine you can celebrate a birthday party like this. It's time to get Outbound Call Center Services click for more information.

ReplyDeleteI did the same theme for my son's second bday this past August.
